I see your point but you’re misinterpreting the meme. It’s saying the act of decorating the Brandenburg gate this way is the same, not the two countries.

It’s not even primitive, just communism. The idea that peoples without civilization are held back or stuck in the past is a problematic worldview as well, and doesn’t hold up well with the archeological evidence either.
